Sanhua Automotive is looking for an IT Specialist to join our team at our Auburn Hills, MI office. In this role, you'll provide deskside and infrastructure support, helping ensure our local and global teams stay connected and productive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize all tickets assigned to the site’s Deskside Support Group, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
- Research and utilize available resources to troubleshoot new and complex technical issues.
- Record and track interactions with end-users and related activities using the service desk tool.
- Create and maintain Knowledge Base articles for recurring issues to promote self-service and knowledge sharing.
Site IT Support:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs including operating systems (Windows), hardware components, and enterprise software.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Azure systems and peripherals.
- Set up new users, including accounts for email, Office 365, and OA systems.
- Upgrade Teamcenter, NX, and CATIA applications with the client guild book. And trouble shooting with supplier support team.
- Provide hands-on support for FortiGate and SonicWall firewall devices, including SSL VPN configuration and maintenance.
- Provide end-user support for a wide range of client applications.
- Administer and support customer portals, including user access setup, basic training, and troubleshooting.
- Provide support for various peripherals such as monitors, scanners and other office hardware.
Vendor and Infrastructure Support:
- Contact software and hardware vendors for repair or replacement of defective products.
- Support the setup and maintenance of AV equipment in conference rooms and auditoriums.
- Assist in workstation administration and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and back up selected servers or manage network infrastructure components as needed.
- Administer and troubleshoot email services.
- Upgrade and update software packages on PCs and servers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or 3+ years of equivalent work experience).
- Proven knowledge of hardware devices and their troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies and components such as Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Practical experience with network configuration and maintenance, including firewall and VPN setup.
- Skilled in portal/user access administration, with the ability to onboard and support internal and external users.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to or strong interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern IT tools and frameworks.
- Strong self-learning ability with a track record of acquiring new technical skills independently.
- Chinese language proficiency preferred.
- Experience working in an international company is a plus.
